Madam Editrix

Hello and welcome! I’m Christina.
My love affair with books began when I was two. I may not have been able to read or understand the words in the books I “read” then, but I knew there was something magical about them. Once I learned how to read, a plethora of worlds opened up to me and I found myself living in the various books I read.
I enjoy books of all genres, but I am particularly drawn to dark fiction, especially dark romance. My passion for these darker works began in elementary school when I discovered Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark in the library and watched the movies Labyrinth and Dark Crystal at home every chance I had.

I always wanted to work with books in some way, either as an author or an editor. However, while I was at university, I decided to pursue a different passion and received a B.A. in Anthropology. A few years later, I was married with three children, and I put my career on hold to become a stay-at-home parent. Once my children were older, I was able to focus on starting a new career. In 2024, I completed the Certificate in Editing program through the University of Washington.

My mission as an editor is to help authors bring their stories to life. I believe that every writer’s voice is unique and deserves to be heard. My job is to enhance that voice by offering thoughtful, precise feedback that refines the work while keeping its essence intact. Whether it’s tightening prose, clarifying ideas, polishing dialogue, or fixing mechanical errors, I strive to make each story shine.
